Our affiliated practice, Florida Woman Care, is seeking a Full Time Women's Health Physician Assistant to join our care center in St. Petersburg, Florida. About the Practice:

The practice consists of 6 physicians and 1 Physician Assistant. This practice is very well established and has been serving women in the Gulf Coast for several decades. There are 2 office locations: St. Petersburg and Largo.

Position Highlights:

  • Perform patient exams, screenings, treatments, and record patient health history for both OB & GYN patients
  • Office based procedures such as Colposcopies & Endometrial biopsies, IUD insertions and removals
  • Prescribe medications, therapies; order/perform and interpret diagnostic testing
  • Provide pre and post-natal care, family planning services, and patient education and counseling
  • Assist and work closely with physicians to provide patient care
  • No weekends or call
  • Patient volume: 20-24 patients per day

Requirements:

  • National Physician Assistant certification or ability to obtain
  • Unrestricted, active licensure in the State or ability to obtain
  • Current Unrestricted DEA License or ability to obtain
  • CPR, BLS, and NALS Certification or ability to obtain
  • Proficient in assessment and development of treatment plans
  • Ability to communicate with patients, team members and management staff
  • Ability to make care decisions based on the best medical practices without direct supervision or guidance by a physician
  • One year of full-time experience as a Physician Assistant is preferred, but not required
